There are times in our lives when the Epiphany occurs. Sometimes Jesus comes when we are searching for Him. And we have the Epiphany that Christ is here. Sometimes Jesus comes unexpectedly when we're not searching for him. He shows up in ways we're not looking for. Sometimes we respond with joy for Jesus' coming because we're in a place where we can receive him. And sometimes we respond with fear and anger because we're in a place where we think we're in control. But no matter how we respond, no matter how Jesus comes in our Epiphany. Jesus is here. - Andy Meyers Scripture Readings: Ephesians 3:1-12; Matthew 2:1-23

Let's all get on the same page about what Jesus stands for. Jesus stands for breaking the mold. He doesn't blindly accept society as it is. He shows through word and deed what could be. Jesus stands for the ones who have been pushed aside. The peacemakers, the merciful, the meek, who are rejected as weak. The persecuted who are run over. The hungry and thirsty who are ignored. And Jesus invites us all into a new way of living. - Erin Toler Scripture Readings: Isaiah 61:1-9 Matthew 5:1-12 |
