What is the Christian Emergency Council?
The Christian Emergency Council (CEC) is an arm of the Orange County Ministerial Association. It's designed to help, in Christ’s name, Orange County residents when they confront short term emergencies. The CEC l is made up of Orange County churches who have pooled their financial resources to help county residents.
Who is involved in the CEC?
Volunteers from churches all over Orange County participate in this Christian mission of service. Certain member churches are tasked with responding to all calls for assistance during a specific month of the year.
Designated church volunteers are specifically trained to deal with calls for assistance. They determine the nature of need and the financial resources necessary for assistance. They then guide those seeking assistance toward the various social service agencies, budgeting workshops, and utility support programs that can continue to help them.
