The OPC Blessing Line is a clothing resource available to all.

Our Blessing Line ministry is for those in immediate need.
Soctober, 2024
We'll be collecting socks during the months of October and November. Please bring your new socks to the church narthex. We'll bag them and get them on the line as fast as possible!
This year we have a need for two things:
1) Children's socks -- all ages
2) Adult work socks -- that is, thick socks to wear in work boots.

Winter ministry 2023
For the months of January and February 2023, we kept the Blessing Line full of winter apparel. Mittens, gloves, scarves, and hats were bagged and hung. We replenished the line two or three times weekly.
Most of our donations were in children's sizes. They never remained on the line very long. But adult-sized gloves and scarves also found homes quickly.

Socktober, 2022
Our 2021 campaign was so successful, we brought it back! For the months of October and November OPC will be collecting socks. All kinds are needed -- men's, women's, and especially children's.
Socks must be new, and in their original packaging. Drop off donations in the basket in the narthex (that's just inside the sanctuary doors).
Socktember, 2021
We began the month of October by hanging socks on the Blessing Line, hence "Socktober." The socks were all new, and were hung in plastic bags to protect them from the weather.
The need was such that we extended the project into November as well, or into "Socktember."

Winter ministry
For the months of January and February, 2020, we hung winter hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves on a clothesline near our parking lot. All are sealed in plastic bags to protect them from the weather.
Our invitation is "Take what you need, and blessings on you." Anyone is free to take as many or as few of the hanging items as they need. And they can do so at any time, night or day.
We restock the Blessing Line several times weekly.
