Does OPWS take field trips?
Yes, we take several each year. Both classes will visit the pumpkin patch in the fall.
What clothing should my child wear?
Dress your child in comfortable clothing and shoes that can stand the wear and tear of crawling, climbing, painting, etc.
What is done to protect my child's health?
We will check with each parent before school begins to make sure that the immunizations are up to date. We will monitor the health of each child during the day and if there is an issue, we will contact you. We will make every effort to protect the health and safety of each child but we will also rely on the cooperation of parents to help prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
Will I be responsible for the transportation of my child?

Is there a snack?
Yes, there is a mid-morning snack served each day.
Does OPWS follow the Orange County public school calendar?
We mostly follow the public school calendar (see the calendar on the homepage, left-hand side), NOT including snow days (we do not make up). We post to our Facebook page when we will NOT follow OCPS scheduling (inclement weather, for example).
Is there a Christian emphasis?
Yes, there is. The OPWS has been a ministry of the Orange Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. As part of the curriculum, the pastor will meet with the children regularly to emphasize Christian caring and respect.
