God says, "I will remember their sin no more."

That's pretty good advice for us.

How many of us live our whole lives nursing that grudge, nursing our childhood hurts?

God chooses to offer forgiveness
God chooses to forget.
God chooses reconciliation.

 - Pat Nabers

Scripture Readings:
Jeremiah 31:31-34
John 8:31-36

Stuff

The pursuit of stuff has become a national obsession. We are having smaller families and building bigger houses.
Why do we need these bigger houses?
We need a place to put our stuff!

It is only Christ who can deliver us from greed and commercial addictions. He invites us into an enduring life-liberating love. May we find ourselves walking in love as Christ loved us, and thereby discover the fulfillment of God's eternal promise.

 - Norris John

Scripture Readings:
Jeremiah 18-1:11; Psalm 139 1-6, 13-18; Philemon 1:21; Luke 14:25-33, 15:48-16:47

Blessings and Woes

Friends, we hold these truths to be self-evident. That God is present still. And God loves us still.

Therefore God will give us what we need to continue to be the church in the world.

So woe to us if we don't spend the rest of this year and the rest of our lifespans living into God's call.
