Order of Worship for Sunday 11, October , 2020
Twenty-eighth Sunday of Ordinary Time Hymn: 385 All People on the Earth Do Dwell Call to worship: Leader: This is the day that the Lord has made. All: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Opening prayer (prayer of St. Francis) Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O, God, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:20-27 Hymn: 15 All Creatures of Our God and King Scripture reading: Isaiah 11:6-10 Reflection Prayers of the people and the Lord’s Prayer Offering/blessing May you be blessed in the Name God, the Creator, Redeemer and of the Sustainer. May you and your animals enjoy life together and find joy with the God who created you. Amen. Benediction Hymn: 20 All Things Bright and Beautiful
